Slivered Almonds, 60g

These slivered almonds have been skinned and chopped into shards just larger than a grain of rice. They are perfect for sprinkling over food for textured, rich nut-flavoured mouthfuls.

Slivered almonds - also known as nibbed almonds - work well in savoury dishes, too. Try stirring a few through a rice pilaf, or dry fry a handful as a delicious garnish for fish dishes. Also use the slivered almonds in sweets such as baklava, as well as using them to decorate cakes, or even mix into a Christmas pudding.
